SENATOR PATRICK RECEIVES SENATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD FROM COMBINED LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSOCIATION OF TEXAS
Recognition is due to Patrick's hard work for policemen across the state.
AUSTIN — Today, Senator Dan Patrick (R-Houston) received the Senator of the Year award from the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas (CLEAT). CLEAT is the largest association representing members of law enforcement in the state of Texas.
The award was given in recognition of his hard work as a member of the Senate Criminal Justice Committee and his efforts during the 81st Legislative Session. These efforts included legislation to increase penalties on suspects who fail to identify themselves and individuals who try to evade arrest.
"I am proud to work with CLEAT to support the members of Texas' law enforcement community," said Senator Patrick. "There are very few individuals who deserve more respect and assistance than those who protect and serve us in law enforcement."
