Senator Seliger to Hold Senate Natural Resources Subcommittee Hearing on Dunes Sagebrush Lizard

AUSTIN—The Senate Natural Resources Subcommittee on Interim Charge Number 6 will meet in Odessa to discuss the inclusion of the dunes sagebrush lizard on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service endangered species list and the negative implications such action would have on the oil and gas industry.

"The potential decision by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has far reaching consequences both for the preservation of the species and the viability of an essential industry. The best way to resolve these issues is with a full and public discussion by all interested parties," said Seliger.
