12:00 noon Buses depart from Brownsville District Office located in North Park Plaza to Austin.
5:00pm Dinner on your own (dutch treat) at a prearranged location
6:30pm Arrive in Austin and check into hotels.

7:30am-8:30am Pre-Inaugural Mass at St. Mary's Cathedral (Within walking distance of Capitol @ 203 E. 10th Street) Buses available from Ramada Inn and Clarion Inn.
(If attending mass, check out is recommended.)
9:00am-10:30am Hospitality suite open at Stephen F. Austin Hotel
9:30am Check out of hotel for those going back to district on buses after event.
11:00am Swearing-in Ceremony, Senate Chamber
12:00noon Reception/Receiving Line, Governor's Reception Room
1:00pm-4:00pm Complimentary BBQ luncheon and Entertainment, South Steps and Capitol Grounds
1:00pm-5:00pm Complimentary tours of State Capitol and Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum
3:00pm-11:00pm Hospitality suite open at Stephen F. Austin Hotel
5:00pm Buses will depart from Capitol and return to Brownsville
6:00pm Dinner on your own (dutch treat) at a prearranged location.
*Parking available at Visitor Parking Garage located at 12th and San Jacinto Street
*Parking will not be available on Capitol grounds
*You must retain and submit your BBQ ticket at the event in order to receive the souvenir item.
*BBQ tickets will also be used to obtain a voucher for admittance to Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. Vouchers are for adults only, children are admitted free.
Note: School bands slated to perform are:
- The University of Texas at Brownsville Mariachi Band
- The San Benito High School Concert, Jazz and Mariachi Bands
- The Los Fresnos High School Mariachi Band
- The Senator Eddie Lucio, Jr. Middle School Concert Band
