STATE SENATOR LETICIA VAN DE PUTTE DISTRICT 26 TO SERVE ON NATIONAL COUNCIL OF STATE LEGISLATORS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
State Senator Leticia Van de Putte, District 26 was chosen to serve on the National Council of State Legislators Executive Committee (NCSL) at the Annual Conference held on July 16-20th in Chicago, Illinois. This committee is the governing board of the organization.
More than 6,500 legislators, legislative staff, exhibitors, delegates, and media attended this year's NCSL's Annual Meeting in Chicago,Ill. NCSL's four day event is held in a different U.S. city each year and gives state legislators and staff from across the country an opportunity to exchange ideas on legislative issues and concerns. Senator Van de Putte has been a member of NCSL since 1991.
Senator Van de Putte stated,"I am truly honored to be chosen to the 2000-2001 NCSL Executive Committee. I believe this country's legislators should work together to improve communication and ensure the prosperity of our state legislatures."
