82nd Legislative Session To Open Next Week

AUSTIN — As many of you are aware, the 82nd Legislative Session will open next Tuesday, January 11th. During the 140-day period, my colleagues and I will be working on a number of important issues facing our state and I hope that all of my constituents will become active participants in the legislative process.

One of the best ways to become an engaged citizen is to come to Austin and watch your government at work. Below, I have included links to information to help you plan a trip to the Capitol, which I hope will include a visit to my new office in room E1.704 of the Capitol Extension. If you have visited my office before, please note that we are now located directly across the hall from our old office.

In addition to visiting me, please feel free to call, write or e-mail me using the information at the bottom of this Capitol Update. It is important for me to know what issues concern you and what actions you think should be taken.
