Senator Deuell Receives "Crime Fighter of the Year" Award
State Senator Bob Deuell has been named "Crime Fighter of the Year" by the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas (CLEAT), the largest law enforcement group in Texas.
CLEAT Political and Legislative Director Charley Wilkison. made the announcement this week at a series of events in Senate District Two.
"Senator Deuell is the lone recipient of the ‘Texas Crime Fighter of the Year’ award because of his strong support of law enforcement officers in their never ending fight against violent criminals and drug dealers."
"All politicians talk about fighting crime and helping law enforcement officers do their jobs--what makes Bob Deuell different is that he actually went to Austin and kept his word," Wilkison said.
"Bob Deuell's strong leadership in the Capitol has helped make communities and families safer. The good folks of the second Senate district are to be congratulated on sending us a keeper down in Austin. We need to keep him working hard for his constituents and peace officers all over the Texas."
Sen. Deuell said he is honored to receive the award.
"One of the most important duties we have as legislators is to help ensure the safety of our families and our neighbors," Deuell said. "As your State Senator, I will always support our law enforcement officers in their efforts to keep our communities safe."
