Uresti, Blue Ribbon Task Force to conduct block walk on the West Side
State Sen. Carlos Uresti and members of the Blue Ribbon Task Force will conduct a neighborhood walk in West San Antonio on Saturday to raise public awareness about child abuse prevention.
"Going door-to-door is an effective way to spread the powerful message of prevention and let people know where they can get help," Uresti said. "There are many community resources available to help struggling families, and we're going to make sure they know about them."
The block walk, part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, will be the fourth conducted by the Blue Ribbon Task Force over the last year. Sen. Uresti and task force volunteers will be available for interviews and photo opportunities.
