Senator Carlos Uresti will participate in the 22nd Annual Marfa Lights Festival this weekend. The festival will kick off the Labor Day Weekend at 5 p.m., Friday August 29th, and last through Sunday, August 31st. Music, food and fun will permeate the area, which is famous for its mysterious, unexplained lights which appear randomly at night with no apparent source.
The Senator will play a part in the Marfa Lights Parade, which begins at 11 a.m. Saturday morning, The parade route will follow Highland Avenue, and awards will be given for the most creative floats.
