SENATOR URESTI PARTNERS FOR A BETTER TOMORROW
Senator Carlos Uresti is teaming up with more than a dozen of his colleagues and constituents to create a better economic future for the community of Eagle Pass. The "Partnering for a Better Tomorrow" economic development summit will take place July 31, 2008 and will cover all aspects of public policy, identify community problems, and find solutions to improve development in the region.
Senator Uresti will be one of about a dozen speakers at the forum which is expected to start at 8:00 am and will last until 3:00 pm at the International Center for Trade (3295 Bob Rogers Drive, Eagle Pass, Texas 78852).
Aside from discussion, participants will also have time allocated for networking, program funding strategies, and technical assistance.
Carlos I. Uresti is the State Senator of District 19, the largest geographical senate district in the contiguous 48 states. Senate District 19 spans a 23 county area stretching along the U.S.-Mexico border, from San Antonio to El Paso County. Covering 55,000 square miles, the district contains 62 school districts, spans two time zones, and is larger than 24 states and 25 countries.
