San Antonio, TX -- Senator Carlos Uresti and the Blue Ribbon Task Force, along with United Way, KLRN, the San Antonio Association for the Education of Young Children, and Early ON will host KidsDay in the Park at San Pedro Park on Saturday, April 19th.

The Blue Ribbon Task Force will have a booth at KidsDay in the Park where parents and children can play games and enjoy a Texas spring day. Senator Uresti and staff will be on hand to help distribute children's backpacks containing information on safe summer activities.

The event is free for parents and children and offers entertainment, immunizations, arts and crafts, snacks, and educational materials. KidsDay in the Park was founded more than 20 years ago and is the largest children's event in the city. This year, the event is expecting over 15,000 visitors to San Pedro Park.

Senator Uresti is the founder and chair of the Blue Ribbon Task Force, a local coalition of community members. For more information, visit www.blueribbontaskforce.com .
