Van de Putte Presents Texas Treasure Business Award to Bolner's Fiesta
(San Antonio) — On Tuesday, April 22, state Senator Leticia Van de Putte (District 26, Bexar County) will present a Texas Treasure Business Award to one of San Antonio's most beloved and enduring businesses, Bolner's Fiesta Products. The company, celebrating its 60th anniversary, is famous for quality, flavorful spices and its red-, green- and blue-trimmed product label is recognizable across the nation.
Senator Van de Putte nominated Bolner's Fiesta for the award, administered by the Texas Historical Commission. The award recognizes Texas businesses and professional practices that have been in existence continuously for 50 years or more. Senator Van de Putte will be joined at the presentation by San Antonio City Council Member Diego Bernal.
"Enduring companies like Bolner's Fiesta, which add value and character to the culture of our state, are exactly why I authored legislation creating this award in 2005," Senator Van de Putte said. "As a lifelong San Antonian, I can't imagine a kitchen without Fiesta spices, and I can't imagine our city without my friends the Bolners, whose roots here go all the back to the very founding of San Antonio. I'm in awe of this Texas company that is still family-owned after more than six decades."
