Equity Center names Deuell a Champion for Children

AUSTIN — State Senator Bob Deuell, R - Greenville, last week was presented with the Equity Center's Champion for Children award for his commitment to public school students across the state during the 82nd Legislative Session.

"It's an honor to be recognized by Texas' strongest advocate for schoolchildren." said Deuell. "The Equity Center is an important partner for education leaders and legislators, and I look forward to continuing our progress toward an efficient school finance system that expands opportunities for students."

The Equity Center is a non-profit advocacy organization that was founded to promote fair funding for all Texas school districts, and works closely with the Texas Legislature to promote policy that treats all Texas children and taxpayers fairly.
