Uresti, Blue Ribbon Task Force volunteers to conduct block walk
State Sen. Carlos Uresti and members of the Blue Ribbon Task Force will conduct a neighborhood walk in South San Antonio on Saturday to raise public awareness about child abuse prevention.
"Going door-to-door is an effective way to spread the powerful message of prevention and let people know where they can get help," Uresti said. "There are many community resources available to help struggling families, and we're going to make sure they know about them."
The block walk is part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Sen. Uresti and task force volunteers will be available for interviews and photo opportunities.
