Editors and Broadcasters: "Senator Santa" to donate toys, visit seniors in Eagle Pass, Del Rio

Please join Sen. Carlos Uresti, aka Senator Santa, at toy donation events in Eagle Pass and Del Rio on Thursday and Friday.

Sen. Uresti will be giving out some of the 450 toys that were donated last Friday at his 14th Annual Christmas Party at VFW Post 9186 in San Antonio. About one-third of those toys were distributed on Wednesday to Child Protective Services for foster children in the Alamo City. The senator will distribute the remainder to children in Eagle Pass and Del Rio, where he will also be visiting senior citizens.

"Playing Santa is always a highlight of the year for me," Uresti said. "I deeply appreciate the generosity of the people of San Antonio. They know that no child should be left out at Christmas time, and most of the kids we're helping won't get another gift this year."
