Legislation Eliminating Obsolete Reports Approved
AUSTIN —The Senate Committee on Government Organization today approved SB 59 by Texas State Senator Jane Nelson, R-Flower Mound, to eliminate obsolete redundant reports identified by the Legislative Budget Board and other state agencies. In all, approximately 100 government reports would be repealed or modified.
"SB 59 increases government efficiency and eliminates waste," said Senator Nelson. "It helps our agencies focus their time, energy and money on reports that are truly relevant and useful."
SENATOR JANE NELSON represents District 12, including portions of Tarrant and Denton Counties. She is Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services.
