SEN. LUCIO WELCOMES LT. GOV. DAVID DEWHURST TO RIO GRANDE VALLEY PRESS CONFERENCE AFTER RAHC TOUR TOMORROW

AUSTIN, TX — Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr., author of Senate Bill 98 that allows the University of Texas system to establish the U.T. Health Science Center-South Texas, and Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst will tour the Regional Academic Health Center (RAHC) tomorrow. After the tour, Sen. Lucio will join the Lt. Gov. at a news conference on the importance of medical education for the area, improving the quality of health care and increasing the recruitment of doctors to South Texas through a health science center.
