Senator Van de Putte Co-hosts Flu Shot Clinic
SAN ANTONIO -- On Saturday, October 28, Senator Leticia Van de Putte (D-San Antonio) will join The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District and San Antonio College to host a Flu and Pneumonia Vaccination Clinic.
The Clinic, which will be held in the San Antonio College Candler P.E. Building Gymnasium from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., is open to the general public and is first-come, first-served. Free parking will be available in lot #21, located next to the tennis courts on W. Park Ave., at 1400 San Pedro Ave.
Two vaccines will be offered, the Flu Vaccine (no charge to persons with Medicare Part B primary, Medicaid, CareLink, Humana, Community First, and CHIP; $25 for the general public) and the Pneumonia Vaccine (free to persons with Medicare Part B primary and Medicaid, $35 for general public).
Senator Leticia Van de Putte; Dr. Fernando A. Guerra, Director of the San Antonio Metro Health District; and Dr. Robert Zeigler, President of San Antonio College will be available for interviews between 11 a.m. and noon.

Van de Putte is a pharmacist of 26 years and is a strong advocate in the Senate for improved access to health care.
