Deuell Given Special Recognition by Fire Fighters
TSAFF Honors Deuell's Work During Legislative Session
(AUSTIN) — State Senator Bob Deuell (R-Greenville) was recently given a "Special Recognition" award by the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters (TSAFF) for his work during the 81st Legislative Session.
Presenting the award at the annual TSAFF convention in Richardson, were Association President Guy Turner, Chief of Staff Mike Higgins, and representatives from the Dallas, Garland and Mesquite fire departments.
"Senator Deuell carried and passed some very important legislation for fire fighters during this session," Higgins said. "Throughout his legislative career, Sen. Deuell has been a friend to us and has helped us tremendously. The citizens of Senate District Two are lucky to be represented by Bob Deuell."
Sen. Deuell said he is honored to receive the award.
"I will always do whatever I can to help our fire fighters and emergency personnel," Deuell said. "These men and women literally risk everything to keep the rest of us safe and I'm proud of what we've been able to accomplish together at the Capitol."
This is the latest award to be given to Deuell in recognition of his work on first response and public safety, having previously been named "Outstanding Senator" by TSAFF.
