Deuell Elected Republican Caucus Chair
AUSTIN — State Senator Robert F. Deuell (R-Greenville) was unanimously elected chairman of the Senate Republican Caucus this week in Austin. He was chosen by his fellow Republicans to lead the group, consisting of the 19 Republican members of the Senate, during the 81st legislative session.
"I'm honored that my Republican colleagues in the Senate have put their trust in me," Deuell said. "I look forward to coordinating our efforts as we work for low taxes, strong family values, and efficient, streamlined government."
Senator Deuell currently serves as a member of the Senate Finance Committee, the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on Economic Development. In addition, he serves as vice-chairman of both the Health and Human Services Committee and the Senate Committee on State Affairs.
