During the past Session, twenty-nine students from Senate District 18 participated in the Honorary Page program. Travis Zavesky, Leslie Penick, Grace Kettling, Taylor Martinez, Kirby and Peyton Matocha and Andrew Locklair were among those who enjoyed the opportunity to see the Senate in action and history in the making.

Each day while in Session, the Texas Senate begins with a moment of prayer. Clergy from all over the state are invited to deliver the opening prayer. Pictured are Reverend Tim Webb of Brenham and Reverend Tom Barnette of Pattison who represented Senate District 18.

Doctors who are members of the Texas Academy of Physicians (TAFP) donate their time and medical skill by coming to the Capitol during the legislative session to care for the legislators, staff and visitors who have need of their services. We were fortunate to have Dr. Robert Youens, President of the TAFP of Weimar, Dr. Henry Boehm of Brenham, Dr. David Watson of Yoakum (with his granddaughter Christian Cain), and Dr. Art Klawitter of Needville serve as our Physician of the Day.
