Texas Exonerees to Testify on Criminal Justice Recommendations
Wrongfully convicted will comment on Tim Cole Advisory Panel Recommendations
(AUSTIN)—The House Criminal Jurisprudence Committee will hear legislation to enact the recommendations of the Tim Cole Advisory Panel tomorrow, Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. or upon adjournment, in JHR 120.
Wrongfully convicted Texans will appear before the committee to share their experiences and weigh in on reforms Texas should enact to reduce similar miscarriages of justice in the future. The exonerees will also join Senator Ellis on the Senate floor during the opening of session.
