Senator Wendy Davis will host two town hall meetings this Saturday, April 18, to lay out her legislative agenda to her Tarrant County constituents and gather input on that legislation from the families she represents.
This week's town hall meetings will be held in the Eastern and Southern portions of her district at the following times and locations:
Saturday, April 18, 2009 District 10 Town Hall Meetings
- 9 a.m. – Arlington ISD Mac Bernd Center, 1111 W Arbrook Blvd, Arlington
- 2 p.m. – Ann Brock Elementary School, 12000 Oak Grove Rd, Burleson
Previously, Senator Davis has held town hall meetings in the Central and Northeastern portions of District 10 which proved to be very well-attended and productive. Attendees were able to share their concerns on issues like public education, high electricity rates, state university admissions and tuition, and homeowners' association issues.
Senator Davis said she will use the information she is gathering at her series of town hall meetings to guide her work during this legislative session.
"The input of the people I represent at home is of the utmost importance to me," Senator Davis said. "I'm looking forward to continuing the conversation."
