Landowners Rights and Eminent Domain Town Hall Meeting
AUSTIN -- Senator Robert Duncan, R-Lubbock, and Senator Kel Seliger, R-Amarillo, will be in Childress on Friday, May 16, for a town hall meeting to discuss landowner rights and eminent domain.
The lawmakers are aware many of their constituents are concerned about a recent letter regarding a water proposal expected to impact area properties.
The proposed water and transmission lines would cross through several counties in Senate Districts 28 and 31. Originating in Roberts County, the main line would be drawn through the northeast corner of Gray County, and then cut through Wheeler, Collingsworth, Childress, Hardeman, and Wilbarger counties.
Property owners and the general public are encouraged to attend this meeting.
