Senator Ellis to Co-Chair Commission to Engage African Americans on Climate Change
(Washington, DC) -- Senator Ellis will join other African American experts and policymakers on energy and the environment to hold a press conference at the National Press Club to announce the Commission to Engage African Americans on Climate Change. The Commission will also release a new opinion survey on the views of African Americans on key climate and energy questions, and present a background paper on key issues of concern, and discuss how the Commission members will engage with Congress, the new President, business and environmental leaders and the African American community generally regarding the challenges and opportunities that climate change presents.
