Senator Ellis' Government Organization Committee to Hear Testimony from Top Solar Power Executives
Committee Hearing will Precede Texas Solar Forum
(Austin, TX) Senator Rodney Ellis (D-Houston), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Government Organization, has invited a group of executives from some of the nation's largest solar power companies to offer insight into this increasingly more affordable energy source during a Senate committee hearing next week.
The solar power CEOs and other executives, who will be in Austin attending the Texas Solar Forum, will testify regarding a charge given by Lt. Governor David Dewhurst on how high performance buildings could lower utility costs and make more efficient use of natural resources.
The committee hearing is scheduled for Thursday, April 24th at 9am in the Betty King Committee Room (2E.20) at the Texas Capitol.
