Senator Rodney Ellis (D-Houston), Larry Fuller, a Dallas decorated Vietnam veteran who was wrongfully convicted of rape 25 years ago and released from prison Tuesday after specialized DNA testing proved his innocence, Fuller’s lawyer, Vanessa Plotkin, and Texas criminal justice advocates.

Senator Ellis, who serves on the Texas Criminal Justice Committee and chairs the Innocence Commission in New York, and other criminal justice advocates will discuss the need for new laws involving increased compensation for wrongfully convicted, the formation of state innocence commission and eye-witness identification reforms.
