Houston, TX -- Senator Rodney Ellis, Council Members M.J. Khan and Shelley Sekula-Gibbs, M.D., U.S. Congressional candidates for District 9, Judge Al Green and Arlette Molina, Texas House of Representatives candidate Hubert Vo, and the Alief Independent School District will be co-sponsoring the Alief Health & Civic Resources Fair on August 7, 2004 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This community event has been organized by the S.A.V.E. Alief organization and will be held at Notre Dame Church, 7720 Boone Road, 77072.
The Health & Civics Resources Fair will provide members of the community with information and services related to health, education, housing and security. Over 80 agencies will be offering free services that include free health screenings, immunizations, CHIP and Gold Card enrollment, refreshments and much more.
The event is free and open to the public. Friends and families of Alief community members are encouraged to attend.
