Houston, TX - Senator Rodney Ellis, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Congressman Chris Bell, State Representative Garnet Coleman, Dr. Ben Chavez, and student leaders from Prairie View A&M will hold a press conference announcing a student led march on Prairie View A&M University on January 15th. The event will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the student's winning a major victory preserving their right to vote. January 15th is also the date of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birth. The press conference will be held at Texas Southern University at the Rod Paige School of Education bldg.
