Determine who your Senator is by filling out the "Who Represents Me?" form on the Senators Index Page. You will need to provide a street address.

The "Texas Legislature Online" website provides legislative information including bill information, committee information, journals and much more.

E-mail is handled by each Senator's office individually. Those Senators who do accept e-mail will have an e-mail form on their web site (found on the Senators Index Page). Please DO NOT contact the website administrator about legislative concerns or attempt to contact your Senator via the web administrator. Such e-mails will not be answered, and cannot be forwarded.

There is no such list because not all Senators accept e-mail. Those who do accept e-mail prefer that you use the e-mail form on their web site (found on the Senators Index Page).

RealPlayer is available free of charge directly from Real.com for PC users, or Real.com/Mac if you are using an Apple Mac computer. Follow the instructions for installation included with the download and return to our Live Video Broadcast site to watch.

Be sure that you have installed RealPlayer on your computer. Once you have this, check that your browser is set to use the RealPlayer application to play RealAudio and RealVideo. Check the instructions that came with your RealPlayer download for more help.

Certain older multi-part archived media will play each of the available parts or "clips" in sequence. Each clip will open individually showing only the length and time for the current clip. When a clip is complete the RealPlayer will load the next clip and begin playing it immediately. If you wish to go to the next clip or previous clip choose "next clip" or "previous clip" from RealPlayer's play menu. Recent multi-part recordings will be labeled as such, and will be listed as separate links.

Some legislative video broadcasts are available to mobile devices from the Texas Legislative Council. Visit the Texas Legislature Online Mobile site, and scroll down to Chamber/Committee video to select your options.

For live broadcasts, check the broadcast time. Your broadcast may not yet have begun, or may have already concluded. Make sure that you hit "Refresh" or "Reload" on your internet browser to see if there is a possible update or link change that may not have been resolved by our cache.

No, Senate Committees are not recorded to videotape or DVD. They are encoded directly to a Realmedia streaming format. You may view the proceedings any time on our website via RealPlayer. If you require a personal copy of a hearing, audio recordings are available from the Staff Services office (see above).
